The Washington County Film Society is the organizer of Z PRELIMINARIES an open film viewing of independent films. The first screening of Z Preliminaries was held at The Electric Theater in St. George, Utah on May 21st. Filmmakers and film lovers gathered to give their opinion of the films received for review. If you have a film you would like our audience to screen and give their opinions on CLICK HERE. After the review, the top films are entered into the Zion Independent Film Festival which will be held November 3-5, 2006 in Springdale, Utah.

ZIFF PRELIMINARIES: THE VOTES ARE IN — "THE ACT" and most films receive high scores.
The first Z Preliiminaries was held on May 21, 2005 at The Electric Theater where the audience voted on what should be in ZIFF. The best ones will move on to be shown at the final festival in November. Our opening film was THE LAST GUNFIGHTER (US) 2004. miniDV. 5min. Our own Festival Director has made this western as a tribute to stories of Southern Utah — this one is by Ron Gorman.
