SPECIAL SCREENINGS
The Film Festival has several films outside the competition. These select screenings will focus on a handful of subjects, and have included American Cinema, the Senior Screen, and Latin American Cinema.
Zion National Park has a rich history of Shishone, Paiute, and Navajo people. All people have a story to tell, seldom seen in the Hollywood movie. The program will include as many American stories as it seems fit for both the films in competition as well as the special screenings.
Likewise, the voice of our seniors and the imagination of children is seldom addressed on screen. True inspiration comes from deep within, and not through the stereotypes we are familiar with.
In the future, the festival plans to hold youth filmmaker camps. These workshops will teach leadership skills and independence. The setting of Zion National Park promotes a positive, serene outlook.

FAQ:

Q: WHEN DO I NEED TO SUBMIT?
A:
ASAP, before the deadlines. You are already here. Why waste time coming back, when you can START right now?

Q: WHEN DO I MAIL THE DVDS?
A:
Within one week of the entry deadline. If you have a problem, please do not hesitate to email a question to redinfo[at)redrockfilmfestival•com.

Q: WHAT KIND OF FILMS CAN I SUBMIT?
A:
ALL genres and ALL categories of film are considered, if they are within the rules & regulations, and meet out mission statement.

Q: WHY SHOULD I PAY UP TO $50 to ENTER?
A:
We can give you feedback, you will receive two VIP TICKETS to one of the shows at the festival regardless if it is accepted or not, and it's a gorgeous place for film.

Attendees come to feel the independent spirit, meet other directors, attend new films, go hiking, see the sites, and when it's all over, they soak their feet in the hot tub or dine out at the many restaurants in the area. It seldom rains in October and November; Southern Utah is considered the Palm Springs north of Las Vegas.
